    3. I'm not LDS but my understanding is that LDS temple ordinances are for the purpose of sealing families together for eternity -- not to "make them Mormons" -- and there is always choice. My feeling is that, if their beliefs are true, then they are doing my ancestors a favor; if not, then it makes no difference! I'm just glad that their interest in genealogy has produced the wonderful Family History Library and its resources which are freely available to all. I go to the FHL in Salt Lake City as often as I can afford the airfare and the hotel; the library is free! They have wonderful staff and volunteers who are very helpful and patient (!!!). At the Family History Center a couple of miles from my home, I have on loan a microfilm of a parish register from Kildare (RC), a couple of RC parish registers from Chicago and deed books from Culpeper Co. Virginia -- just for the cost of shipping the film. Just think how difficult it would be for me to access that information without the FHL! 3. I hope that we will not get into Religion differences on this website as to regards the Mormons etc. Lets keep this out and enjoy the records that we have to use from the LDS and other groups. Lets get back to great genealogy that has been on this site.
