Our oral family history always said the family came from County Queens, Ireland. Some time back, I did research on him and found some Parish records at BallyAdams Parish, Queens cty Ireland. These were baptismal records for his children. I also have a connection in the 1824 Tithe and Aplotment book (forgive my misspelling). I have since lost the website link to these records and want to re- locate them! I also believe, there was a passenger list dated 1848,on board the ship, Joseph Meigs, about Michael Finnell and family leaving Ireland and coming to Peoria, ILinois, USA.
