Hi Penny, I don't know if you've seen the Special Report on Surnames, which lists the occurrence of birth registrations in 1890 where there were more than 5 of a surname registered, but LAWLOR(59), LALOR(42) & LAWLER(41) were most numerous in Leinster (115) followed by Munster (25), Ulster (2) and Connaught none, so it seems they too didn't stay in Co Kerry in great numbers. It's hard to comment or draw conclusions because I have no idea of the numbers who were transported out of Queens into Co Kerry in the first place. The Special Report also notes the LAWLOR/LALOR/LAWLER surnames as being most numerous in Dublin, Queens, Wicklow & Wexford. HTH Pam An Aussie transplanted to Rotorua, NZ.
