Just thought I would introduce myself to the members of the group, and list my connection to "Queen's County". My ancestors were originally thought to be from Co. Clare, however upon finding a marriage registration, it appears they were from Queen's County, later immigrating to Canada. John TUCK and his wife Mary (MYHAN) emigrated from Ireland with their son John and daughter Mary Catherine, at the height of the great famine sometime between 1842 and 1850. They settled in Pembroke/Stafford, North Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. A son, Peter, was born circa 1850 in Ontario, where Mary Catherine was born in Ireland in 1842, so the dates haven't been narrowed down beyond that. Mary Catherine married Onésime Joseph-Louis BRAZEAU/BRASSEAU in Stafford on 7 January 1867, which is the marriage registration I found, indicating her birth was in Queen's County. Mary (MYHAN) TUCK died on 28 December 1888 in Pembroke. Pembroke and Stafford are beside each other, so they may have moved back and forth a few times. There have been several people who have said that they found TUCK's and MYHAN's in Queen's County prior to the famine, so I DO know that these names existed there! If anyone has any information or suggestions on where I could go next, I would love to hear from you! Cheers, and thanks!
