My ggg grandfather, Edward Flood was from Middlemount, in Laois. The Cornelius family was related to him by his paternal grandmother, Aletta Biggs Armstrong. Edward Flood and Henry Cornelius were both tenants in Elderfield (Parish of Offerlane) in Griffith's Valuation. Hope this helps.
