    3. Hello, I have been watching and occasionally inquiring after Thomas Delany on this list for years. Would you be open to scanning a copy of the brochure on Thomas Delany and family? It may not include any new information but I would like to have a copy. My brick wall is in Ireland. I cannot find any evidence of his birth or connection to one of the Gideon DeLaunes. It is family lore but have not been able to find the documentation in Ireland. I would be happy to share any other info that I have depending on your line of descent. I am descended from his son Dennis. 3. The Irish birth registrations only started in 1865. I think your only possibility would be the parish registers, and if you man was protestant, I'm pretty sure the registers back that far don't survive. However, I did find 1768 and 1770 baptisms for Rosenallis people in the Mountrath parish register. Unfortunately, no baptism records for their children born from 1771 on have surfaced. I don't know about RC registers. I assume you've checked the Royal Artilllery archived records and they had nothing? Otherwise, you might luck into finding a burial record, but when you don't know which parish it would be a pretty remote possiblity.
