Surnames: Dunphy,Smith,Young Classification: Birth Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WWC.2ACI/3229.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thank you for the reply.But,my grandfather's death certificate reads that he was born in New York City,New York.My mom & her brother say that their dad,my grandfather Francis Xavier Dunphy was born in Ireland on December 6,1890 came through Ellis Island in the late 1800's to early 1900's.Francis had two sisters,Agnes and Mary. However,I do know that my grandfather was once married before he met my grandmother Isabelle Smith.My grandfather was married to a woman with the last name of Young.We believe her first name was Gertrude.She died before 1920.My grandparents Francis and Isabelle Dunphy married in NJ in December 1920. There is alot of confusion here and hopefully I can get it straightened out.Again,thank you very much for your time and if you come acrossed any additional information feel free to email me.
