However, one of my Saunders ancestors married an Anastasia Hawe from Co. Kilkenny. I have seen many Hawe families in the parish of Windgap. The Catholic parish records for Windgap begin in 1822. My Hawe family was from Garrythomas, Co. Kilkenny.
