My grandfather married # 1 wife( Gertrude,we're not sure of her first name) Young of Queens County,New York.She was the d/o Jacob and Caroline Young of Queens County,NY.Gertrude had two sisters,Florence and Dorothy.We think Gertrude had a brother also named Jacob Young.Gertrude died before 1920 and how I know this is because my grandmother Isabelle Smith married Francis Xavier Dunphy in 1920 in Trenton,NJ. Francis death certificate states that he was born in New York City,NY on December 6,1890.But Francis told how he came over from Ireland and the only thing my mom could come up with is that there was no naturalization papers fill out( that we know of ) and this is how his death certificate stated that Francis was born in New York City,NY. I need proof that Francis Xavier Dunphy was born in Kilkenny,Ireland.
