Parents unknown. Davis is believed to have six children - Martin, Thomas, Ann, John, Richard, and Elias. One of the theories is that this line came from Ireland. No proof found yet. I am the administrator of the Davenport Surname DNA Project. One of our goals is to obtain DNA samples from Davenports around the world to see how we are related. We are trying to get participants in Ireland to see how they compare to our Davis Davenport and other Davenport lines.
