Hi Pat, Thank you for responding. How would I go about finding out where John, Mary and Tom McGuinnis came from in Co Kilkenny? My cousin said my great grandmother, _______ McGinnis (sp), came from Baurnafea, that's why I picked up on the message. That's the first time I have seen that place mentioned. My grandfather, Martin Donnelly was born 1865. A cousin told me his mother was a McGinnis. Then this summer in Kilkenny city I obtained a birth registration that said his mother was Mary Mullins. So, at this point I need to follow both surnames till I find out which is right. Maybe I'll find out McGinnis was his grandmother's maiden surname. Thank you for any help.
