Hi! My Ryans were from the parish of Danesfort also. My great grandmother was Anastasia Ryan, born May 19, 1862 in Goodwinsgarden, Kilkenny in the parish of Dunnamaggin. Her parents were Thomas Ryan and Ann Fogarty, m. November 24, 1859. When Anastasia was two they moved to Coalsfarm in the parish of Danesfort. Anastasia's siblings were: Mary, b. March 26, 1861 Catherine, b. April 4, 1864 Margaret, b. November 9, 1865 Patirck, b. March 15, 1869 Anne, b. February 24, 1871 Daniel, b. September 4, 1873 Patrick, b. August 20, 1873 Daniel, b. August 20, 1873 Bridget, b. February 13, 1875 Thomas, b. April 9, 1876 John, b. June 10, 1877 Anastasia came to Philadelphia, PA in 1883 where she married Stephen Hanrahan who also had come from Danesfort Parish. Stephen came over in 1881. His family lived in Cotterellsrath.
