The oldest child, John married Mary Garland, daughter of John Garland and Ellinor Butler. John and Mary and the Garland family emigrated to Canada in 1819. Andrew and Jane Kidd and the remaining seven children remained in Coon townlands until they emigrated with their second child, Mary (b.1801) and her husband John Gleeson (b. 1783) of Killinane Parish. PS I have seen The Story of the Derry and have found several fundamental flaws in Dr. Kidd's family history which his cousin James Kidd Simpson had better data for.
