I tried to post a message earlier today to Robert Sliger. It is in this thread somewhere. Several years ago I visited in Co Kilkenny, where the Baldwin name was described as "not very popular around here." (Was that their way of saying "not very common" or was their some reason not to like the Baldwins????) Found no Baldwins in Kilkenny; however, their remains numerous ones in Co Waterford and around Cork. Got on to some interesting trails in one of the big libraries in Dublin but ran out of time.
