Their residence was listed as Ballywalter. I also have a Mary Saunders who married a John Ryan bef 1833. I have not researched the Ryan origins. In your initial post you stated one of your baptismal records showed a townland of Bohenvarga in Callan Parish. The townland is probably Boherawarraga, Civil Parish of Coolaghmore, Barony of Kells, Province of Leinster, County Kilkenny. The Civil Parish of Coolaghmore is in the Catholic Parish of Callan. Civil Resistration didn't begin until 1864 in Ireland. To do additional research on your family you will have to rely on Church records. The Parochial Registers of Callan cover the period of 1821-1881. You can order and review these records at your local Family History Center. The Family History Library microfiche number is 926189.
