The Cronyns and Deacons were Church of Ireland; the Cronyn/Deacon connection I'm particularly interested in is that of two ministers who probably knew each other at Trinity College, Dublin. They came out to Canada as missionaries. Rev. Benjamin Cronyn, my ancestor, became a bishop. I have found a lot of Cronyn entries in the Griffiths valuation. The trouble is that even though I have a family tree dating back to the 1700's, I can't tie specific individuals in the valuation and other records together (except in one or two cases where the name isn't that common.) In fact, I realised that you can't even besure that entries under the same name (i.e. John Cronyn) in Griffiths refer to the same person where the first name was common. What material do you have that might be helpful ? Any suggestions would be welcome. Eve
