John Haile Jr. has contributed more than 7000 names to the Find-A-Grave site for St. Edward's Cemetery in Shamokin, Pa., possibly the oldest R.C. cemetery in that area. (Northumberland Co.) Shamokin was a hub of coalmining activity at one time, and many of the Irish miners from the Kilkenny and Laois areas took up roots there when they emigrated.He lists name, DOB, DOD, and best of all gives range and lot location, making it much easier to connect families.
