Preparing for my May trip, I am trying to organize my research. Hoping to research the Wandesforde estate papers, I downloaded the 202 page finding aide to the collection. While many items are apparently not useful to genealogical research, there are many papers dealing with rents, tenants, and the mines. Has anyone looked at the Colliery Account books or rent receipts? What I am wondering is--do these contain lists of names or are they simply financial in nature? I will only have a day or two to research at the NLI (it is clear that I will have to make another trip!), and would like to narrow my list of files to request before I go to maximize my chances of obtaining lists of names. ___________________________________________ Deborah Large Fox www.deborahlarge.com
