Hi, I am researching the Keating family. Sarah/Margaret her sister Bridget and a brother. The 2 sisters and brother were convicted of stealing offences in Kilkenny City in Aug 1816. They were sentenced to 7 years transportation to Australia. Sarah and Bridget arrived in N S W Australia in Aug 1817 on the Canada, I don't yet know what became of the brother. I have a copy of the ship record which states the Sarah 16 years old, Bridget 19 years old and an Ann Kelly 23 years old were from Kilkenny City.They were all housekeepers. I have some records in Australia and sending off for more but I see on the National Archives of Ireland details on Sarah with comments from the Inspector of Kilkenny goal that Sarah was innocent and her brother and sister committed the theft, does anyone have any advice on how I may purchase copies of the Trial by internet or mail.
