Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WWC.2ACI/3237.2.1 Message Board Post: Karen, I looked through all seven volumes and found one David Crowley (25), a printer, who arrived at NY from Liverpool on Jan 15, 1849 aboard the ship WISCONSIN. Many Mary Coughlins, but there is no way to differenciate between them. This David is much younger than the one you are looking for. Al O'Brien.

Surnames: DOOLEY, KEATING Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WWC.2ACI/3239 Message Board Post: My great great grandmother was Anastasia DOOLEY, born around 1848 in Kilkenny City. I have found her baptism in the Catholic parish of St John's, on 20th April 1850. Her parents were John DOOLEY and Anastasia KEATING and their residence was given as Barrack Street. She married Henry ARMITT, but I do not know if this was before or after she emigrated to Leek in Staffordshire, England. I would like to find out about her life between her birth and her emigration to England - especially the date of the latter and if possible which ship she sailed on. In fact any information about her and her family would be much appreciated.

    3. Hi Karen, I am sticking my two-cents in uninvited with some information which may or may not be helpful to you. In the book "Irish Land Owners of 1876" of people owning one acre or more of land the following from Cork County are listed, which may be of help scaling your brick wall. Coughlan, Rev. A. L., Ballinglanna, Glamire, owned 66 acres, valued at 126 L (pounds) Coughlan, Rev. J. Cole, Mallow, 42 acres, 18 L 5 s (shillings) Coughlan, John, Mountain Common, Clonakilty, 7 acres, 4 L Coughlan, Joseph Boyle, Ballygarvan, Cork, 1,678 acres, 1,068 L 5 s Coughlan, Patrick, Mountain Common, Clonakilty, 5 acres, 3 L 5 s No listing for spelling Coughlin. Crowley, Cornelius, Bridge Street, Bandon, 79 acres, 40 L 10 s Crowley, John, Ballyluck, Clonakilty, 13 acres, 2 L Crowley, Laurence, Bandon, 6 acres, 10 L 5 s Since both sets of people are from the right area for your relatives, hopefully it will provide you with further leads. Good luck!
