Any suggestions about a good place in Galway to get books or maps? >> Mary, For a good map of the Glennamaddy area, I would pick-up Discovery map 39 at the Tourist Office shop at the airport - at least I know Shannon, and undoubtedly Dublin airports would have it. If you're flying into Knock, I don't know. And I would doubt that Galway airport would have them. There appear to be graveyards at the RC church in Glennamaddy, as well as an older one just to the east - but this one is apparently disused and dates from the days of the workhouse ("Burial Ground" is shown on the Discovery map). Also, a cemetery 2 or 3 miles to the NW, just north of Boyounagh in Cashel townland (shown on the map). Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
