I am searching for information pre 1850's Kildare, for my Ancestors the MACKEY & CARROLL Families. Several families, two of them by name MACKEY & CARROLL arrived in Victoria, Australia, between 1850 & 1860 from Kildare. Peter & Susan (nee Cleary) MACKEY, natives of Clune, County Kildare, known children born in Clune, Kildare: Ann b.1828 No information on her. Peter b.1829 James b.1831 Mary b.1832 Nicholas b.1935 Matthew 1840 Bridget b.1841 All of the above children came to Victoria Australia except Ann. They married into the families of CARROLL, DOWLING and a few other families from this area. Any information on the CARROLL & MACKEY families in Kildare I would appreciate. Regards, Jill Jackson
