I am looking for info re William and Elizabeth Somerville, who lived at Ardrass, Co Kildare, had a son William in 1772, maybe daughters. Somerville was quite a prominent name in the county, also Meath and Dublin and Fermanagh. Any links are appreciated. Thanks. Wendy

Wendy, famous Anglo/Irish cousins, Somerville and Ross, (Edith and Violet) were prominent writers in the late 1800's/early1900's. "The Irish RM" (resident magistrate) being made into a TV series by the ABC. Edith was a painter too. They lived in Castletownshend. Co.Cork. Drishane House is still there and open to the public. Not a great lead, I know, but there MAY be a link to your Elizabeth if you delve into Edith's background which, btw, makes fascinating reading.
