    3. Thank you so much for the information on the Floods. My GGGF Edward Flood lived in Kilcullen for a time before he died and was buried from Kilcullen. So this is great information. Andrew Flood was part of a gang in north Kildare that was "...publicly harboured by all the farmers and some of the gentlemen farmers". James Flood was part of a group from Kildare holed up in Dublin in 1803 that were trying to enlist the aid of the French to start another rebellion; a Mr. Flood of Kilcullen attended the first county committee meeting of the United Irishmen in January 1798 at Nineteen Mile House near Kilcullen; "one Flood of Kilcullen was the 'only man that gave orders to the United sergeants'".
