    1. RE: 1798 Rebellion in Kildare Mackey, Carroll and Dowling
    2. Jill Jackson
    3. Hello to you Mary. How far away from Kildare is Killenaule Co, Tipperary? Mine all seem to have come from the same Village in Kildare and settled in Victoria. The young people from the families came out here around the same time, the boys to establish themselves and make a home for the girls. There were at least 4 families who did this. Some of the parents came out with the girls or just by themselves. The children seem to have all married in Victoria, those who did not marry lived out the rest of their lives here. Peter MACKEY b abt 1796, son of Peter MACKEY & Ann TIERMAN. Peter married Susan CLEARY daughter of Nicholas CLEARY, (no Mother specified). Their children married into the children of the FENNELL, DOWLING, CARROLL families. Christopher CARROLL, father Richard m, Ann FENNELL d of John. Their children married into the GRIMES, DONNELLY, MACKEY, O'MEARA and BRADY. Huge DOWLING m. Ann BIGGERS around 1825 the children of these two married children of the FERRIER & MACKEY families. I have quite a bit of information on the above families if you are interested. There are people in Vic who have researched these families; they gave most of my information. Regards, Jill Jackson Sydney Australia. -----Original Message----- From: Mary S [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, August 14, 2005 9:47 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: 1798 Rebellion in Kildare Mackey, Carroll and Dowling hello to all on list,Jill I noticed you are searching Mackey & Carroll.
