Hi again! I've been trying to pinpoint where in Co. Kildare my McLaughlin ancestors would have most likely come from, so that I can start searching church records to see if I can find them! I need a little help though... On Griffith's Valuation I found several entries for McLoughlin in Co. Kildare. Most of them seemed to be from Usk. I cannot seem to locate the church records, however, for the places listed. The Ireland National Library lists the records by diocese, and I don't know which one to look under. I was wondering if someone could tell me the diocese for the following parishes: Usk Tulley Scullogestown Narraghmore Monasterevin Also, I am competely new to Irish genealogy. If someone with more experience could search Griffith's Valuation and suggest any other places or parishes that I should check for McLaughlin / McLoughlin ancestors in Co.
