Don, As Shirley has said, I believe you are looking for Meath, the county just above Kildare. Here is a link to resources available from Kildare Heritage http://kildare.ie/heritage/genealogy/genealogical-sources.asp They have most of the parish records there, but not all. I had to go direct to the church in Straffan for my records. Most of what they have is for their use for a fee. Some records are available online. If that link does not work just try: http://kildare.ie/ Search: Genealogy Kildare Heritage & Genealogy Company Genealogical Sources I wish you luck, Marge
Hello Marge, Thank you for your email. I checked the transcription made by Ancestry.com and I ma convinced that Menth should have been Meath. I the light or this I have subscribed to the Meath.Rootsweb site.as well as Kildare. I will start the research in Meath as I only have the family name of REYNOLDS where my great, great grandfather, Patrick came from. He married a Bridget from Kildare in about 1815 It would seem to me that I should firstly try to establish when and where they were Baptised and married. Thanks again for your help, Regards Don Reynolds, in Sydney ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2005 6:49 AM Subject: Re: [IRL-KILDARE] Where is East Menth? > Don, > As Shirley has said, I believe you are looking for Meath, the county just > above Kildare.
