Thank you so much for your reply,i have a church marriage record for John Doody and Bridget Doyle but the date is 12/09/1875 whereas your information is 9/9/1875,why would there be a difference?Thanks for Johns mothers name and Bridgets mothers name which was not on the record its great to fill in the blanks you come up against.How did you work out Bridget Doyles DOB?I have the 1901 census which puts her age as 42 and the 1911 census as 55!!! I am interested in finding information on my Grandfather John Doodys brothers Matthew,Thomas,and his sisters Catherine,Lizzie,and Esther who i know married James Leigh and had 2 children Patrick and John noted on 1911 census and lived at no 32 Belan so lived close to John and Bridget. I have never had very much information about my Grandfather only what you would have read in my first post so i took a punt and started my search with the 1911 census and have been following through with this family as they were the only Doody to come up with a John that matched the scant information given to me by my father,so i hope i am on the right track. RePhoto/ the only photo of my grandfather is a large framed head&shoulder photo taken on his wedding day which hangs in my parents home in Ireland,i am trying to have a picture taken so if successful will let you know.Are there any Doodys or Leighs living around Belan/castledermot area?
