Author: AnnetteCode Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.kid.general/2282.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I looked to a bmd online index for John Flynn Kildare None for 1849 but a 1846x2, 1848 John Joseph, 1854 22 marriages 1868, 1870, 1871, 1873 Mary Brennan 1846, 1850, 1851, 1852 marriages 1867, 1868, 1870, 1871 and 1873 then I went to www.familysearch.org and on the 02/09 *PILOT found the following: 344 records for Mary Brennan 8 records for John Flynn Usual age for marriage age 20-25 Possible marriage same year 1870 John #101251 Vol.8. Pg. 328 Athy Registration District, Laois and Kildare Counties Mary Brennan 1870 #101251 Vol.13, Pg. 291 Athy Registration District, Laois and Kildare Counties Ballylinan or Ballylynan is close to the border with Laois a mostly farming area. www.from-ireland.net has the different boundary areas, Diocese, County, Villages, Parish and Townlands. There are some marriage records under Civil Registrations but I couldn't get it to work today from 1864-1875. I have a CD of the Civil Births by the LDS *from 1864-1875, and these two may have had children after their marriage which should fit in between those dates. I will get back to you on that. The PILOT mentioned above replaces this CD which is no longer available and also has the advantage in that it give both parents names and most time mother's maiden name. www.censusfinder.com United Kingdom Ireland Co.and www.igp-web.com County usually have good records and links but Kildare has a poor showing.
