However, these folks lived to the east of the estate. I have rentals records and leases, birth, deaths and marriages from the s.w. of Wicklow. Townlands surrounding Shillelagh/Tinehely area. I looked up the birth of Annie Kelly as I thought she would be one who would be in the Civil Registrations 1864-1875 that I have on a CD. Unless there are another John Kelly and Anne O'Hohan (Many John and Anne Kelly's) the Anne Kelly I found: is Anne Kelly born Ashford, Wicklow to John Kelly and Ann Oulaghan #255930 FHL (microfilm) I looked for marriages and there were many but none with Ann Oulaghan, Protestant marriages were recorded from 1850-1862 when Civil Registration required all religions to register with the government. I went through many gravestone inscriptions for John Kelly's Annie Kelly's, Edward and Catherine Kelly's but none I could be sure were the right families. Eg: Window donated by John and Annie Kelly in memory of parents, relatives and friends. No dates no names, Hollywood Church St. Kevin's RC. These inscriptions go to 1899, unless some member of the same family died after 1899 and were interred in the same place. There are newer inscriptions on several websites: www.ancestorsatrest.com; www.interment.net; www.igp-web.com Wicklow. The Latter Day Saints Civil Registration CD I have has been replaced on www.familysearch.org by the 02/09 PILOT but it doesn't come with parents names. No others were listed. There are some marriages, births and deaths on www.from-ireland.net and the explanation of civil registrations etc. The village of Ashford is in the Rathnew Parish according to from-ireland. It is just north of Rathnew which is just inland from Wicklow Town. Rathdrum was both a town and a Registration District. I stayed in Rathdrum about 3 years ago now to do my husband's family history. Griffith Valuations of 1854: Because I couldn't find just one John Kelly - many these would just be eg: Lower Newcastle Parish, Killmullin Townland: 1a Thomas Byrne, tenant of Earl Fitzwilliam house, land and office 60Acres 2 roods 10perches 2.
