Author: AnnetteCode Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.kid.general/2286.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I question some of the dates given Patrick Connolly born 1856 but married in 1860, same Rose Doyle? children not born till 1880's? The marriage certificates say born 1880 which then makes sense. Both have father's Patrick. The reason I ask is that the names Connolly and Doyle are both very common so it is hard to differentiate without good information. I have a set of CD's from the Latter Day Saint's from 1864-1875 but the letter "C" disc no longer works. I did find that although you mention Crookstown Parish Church. Calverstown is in the Parish of Davidstown. I have been told that the marriages usually took place in the brides church? There are 276 Doyle's in County Kildare in 1850's (probably father's father would of farmed these) 15 in the Parish of Davidstown, Calverstown Townland. Eg: John Doyle Parish of Davidstown, Calverstown townland, tenant of Robert Borrowes property number 12 A house, office land 23Acres.1.10 and 12B land 1.3.15 see www.failteromhat.com and/or www.askaboutireland.ie This Parish was in the Poor Law Union of Athy, and the Civil Registrations followed the boundaries of the Poor Law Unions. www.familysearch.org PILOT program found under search records top left corner: These records go up to the 1950's. Look for references to Athy Registration District. Annette Code 'genealogy for fun' Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
