I estimate his date of birth to be 1840-1844 if Wm. was born in 1864. There were Owen Dwyer's born the following years and counties. Meath 1794, Limerick 1828, Cork 1829x2, Lough 1830, 1933 & 1839 Limerick, 1844 Cork, 1846 Dublin, 1866 Roscommon. Bridget Callan: Meath 1844, Cavan 1844, Lough 1845, 1846, 1847x2, Leitrim 1847. In Kildare 1862 Patrick Joseph, 1867 Patrick, 1871 Patrick, 1875, 1876 In Kildare in all 6 William Dwire,Dwyer, William 1843, 1845, William Patrick Dwyer 1877. Owen would of been born for the census substitute Griffith Valuations of 1850's but not old enough to have his own land? There were 14 Callan's in 10 Parish's, none the same as Dwyer's. In Kildare these were only from the date 1867-1875, no children for an Owen Dwyer. www.familysearch.org - main page search are the National Library of Ireland's collection microfilm to 1890, microfilmed by the Latter Day Saints, both RC and Protestant, after 1890 in local custody. The Church of Ireland has parish registers to 1899 and after that in local custody. RC parish registers are in local custody. Most clergy now have email but not always cooperative. There are 1880's census for the UK, Canada, USA. Also the 2/09 Pilot project is found under search records that you can explore and you can find the UK there as well. I did find a marriage for a Bridget Callan in 1880 and 1885, four births 1832, 1855, 1859, 1884, microfilm numbers are found by clicking on the left underlined names. The microfilm can be seen at any LDS Heritage Center, the one closest to you will be found under Location on the main page. Not all locations have particular films so phone to make sure the film doesn't need to be ordered. There are 53 Dwyer's still in the www.eircomephonebook.ie and just 12 Callan's. Low enough number of Callan's to write letters to all. No postal codes required outside Dublin.
