hello everyone, Is anyone able to help? My ggg grandfather was William Brown, according to his military service records he was born c1839 in Timolin, near Ballitore, co Kildare. According to his marriage certificate (1863 Stoke Damerel, Devon) his father was also William; the certificate further says that William senior was a farm labourer at Crookstown. Is anyone researching this family, or able to give me any further details? I should at least like to know his mother's name. I know that William Brown is a very common name, but I was lucky enough to find his military records, so I am not without hope. Also I believe Timolin is a small parish so hopefully it is possible to trace him further. Thanking you all in advance for any help/advice, Christel Muncaster
