I have a Hugh Dowling, b. 1867 died in same year, in my Family tree. There is also one b. 1800 m Ann Bridges, and another one b. 1836. Any help? Looking for possible link to my FitzGerald ancestor - parents, siblings, cousins Anna Maria FitzGerald, born 1824 in Dublin County, in husband's obituary said to be of Knavenstown/Knavinstown. She possibly went primarily by the name Maria. Emigrated to USA between 1840 - 1851 (Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania) where she married William Cowell Bayley on April 1, 1851. Anna Maria died in 1887, William in 1889. Father is Robert FitzGerald, must be born about 1800 in Ireland. There was a Robert FitzGerald who was brother to a Charles FitzGerald who supposedly got Rathgar.  Their father was Charles, and his father John.  The time period fits.  Robert was said to have gotten Knavinstown. (I don't really know what this means, but because his name is Robert, my Anna's father's name, and the town Knavinstown is mentionned, and it is the correct time period, I wonder if they connect..) Does anyone have any information about this Robert and Charles FitzGerald and extended families?  Does anyone know what the Knavinstown connection would mean?

To reply to your email: * My g-grandfather, Michael Timmons, appears to have been born c. 1842-1844 (his age on 1901 census is 57, and in 1911 age 69), so if any of the 14 Michaels 1790-1857 were born around then, I would be delighted for the info. * I was convinced for the last couple of years that "my" Michael married Mary Kelly in Carlow in 1865, but have disappointingly been proved incorrect (long story!). But I can't find any other marriage of a Michael T to a Mary K - this probably means they were married pre 1864, and since I don't know where or when, I'm stuck! * Thanks for the info on Timmons (and variations) in Dublin and Kildare - will keep it on file for possible future reference. * I tried the LDS pilot site but it hasn't been any help - as you are probably aware, the records are badly incomplete. For instance, not one of my father's siblings are listed, but luckily I know have all their info already. * The reason Christopher Timmons b. 1869 is not on your CD is because he was born in Dublin City in March 1869 - so you're correct, the CD doesn't contain Dublin City listings. * Thanks for looking at the 1911 Census. You're correct about no Christopher being listed (I can't find anything for him except his birth and christening record - perhaps he died/emigrated?). But Michael g-gf is definitely on the 1911 census as age 69. * Elizabeth Timmons married my grandfather, Christopher O'Rorke in 1907, and they are listed in the 1911 census.
