He was one of, perhaps, 10 children of Patrick Kelly and Eliza Quinn. Luke seems like an unusual first name for this place and time so perhaps this is your Luke. Have you used Familysearch.org (old version plus new)to search? There are also many microfilmed church records available for this area. Good luck. Author: neenatwo Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.kid.general/2224.2.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have a Catherine Byrne born 1820 born in County Kildare, but not sure if noting Kildare on records could just mean Kildare Town. Catherine was a convict, sailing to Botany Bay in 1839. She changed her name around the time of civil registrations here in Australia. On her death certificate her parents are written as John Kennedy (the name she chose for herself) and Mary McDonald. I can not ascertain whether she has just changed her father's name in keeping with her current one, or whether all names are ficticious. If anyone can shed a light on a Catherine Byrne born (I think December - as written on her tombstone but that could be another fib to put people like me off the track lol) 1820 who disappeared off the census by 1839 and may have parents John and Mary. Needle in a haystack I know but here's hoping. Cheers Janine Halls Creek West Aust Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. Christina Finn Hunt
    3. I have just realized that for some time the search engine I am using in the IGP Archives was skipping a lot of counties. My own fault. I had set up something incorrectly. If you relied on the search engine, then I would ask that you retry your search. There is a lot on the site that was being missed. I am so sorry. I should have realized something was wrong sooner. When I did my monthly search for new data, I became suspicious since counties were not showing up that I knew that had added pages. The url to start is http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ You can search using the drop down box to search your county of interest. Christina the chagrined http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/
