I have updated the Irish books section of my website with new books and lookup volunteers. Many on the list visited Ireland over the Summer and probably brought home a new book or two. If you are like me, you needed to buy a new bag to carry them all home :-) Maybe some new parish history books have been published that is not included in the Parish History books section. So, check out the books listed and if you find you have books that are not listed, you can use the convenient form on the bottom of each page to submit them. I will then include your book with my next update. Of course, you need not be a lookup volunteer, if you list a book. Thanks to all who have made this website so successful. You can find the links at the bottom of this page: http://www.connorsgenealogy.com/books/ Also, if you find a book that you might like to buy, on this page are many bookstore links, many located in Ireland. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton

Hey Dale, Are any of your Dunnes from Castledermot? I found the gravestone of one in St. Louis on my recent visit. And if you visit Timolin, stop in at the Sportsman's Inn, the small church behind it, and the Irish Pewter Mill. The church may have some Dunnes in it-they are all over that area. I just stayed at the Kilkea Castle for two days, then the Pill Lodge just north of there. Both were wonderful. Hey Kevin, Yep, the autumn colours are just appearing down here in Cork and it's a beautiful sight. By the way, I called in to Fr. Dempsey in Crookstown, Co. Kildare, to see if he could help with information on my Thomas Dunne (Timolin 1791) He also told me that has released the records to the Heritage Centre. He suggested I contact Fr. Coughlan in Timolin which I had already done 3 years ago. I wrote to him again but was told virtually the same thing, that Marriage Records in Moone (Timolin) begin in 1884 which is much too late for my Thomas. Spent a glorious few days just driving the back roads of Co. Kildare and soaking up the atmosphere of the countryside of my ancestors. Fr. Dempsey was very helpful and during the conversation, I learned he had a brother living just 120km. from my own place Down Under who he had visited a few times! Small world!
