    3. From fabiochris@xtra.co.nz (who is having email problems.) Hi Folks, At present I am looking thru the online Co. Kerry Church Records for my Walsh and Nolan families trying to make family connections with the help of the sponsors and witness's names. Interestingly there are a few crossovers with Nolans sponsoring Walsh births and Walsh's sponsoring Nolan births. But I have never been able find my GGGrandfather William Nolans family recorded in the records. I have been given the names of Denis Nolan and Jenni Dowd as his parents and his sister as Jane but there are no records of these 3 in Co. Kerry and I have not been able to find the source of this info. They might have settled somewhere else in Ireland when they returned from the East Indies where William was born in 1834 - also in this I have not been able to find the source to verify if he really was born in the East Indies. However there are other Nolans in Co. Kerry one marriage of a William Walsh and Mary Nolan they had a son John born July 1858 in Drombeg the same townland where my GGGrandparetns William Nolan (spelt Nowlan in marriage record) and Mary Walsh were living and raising an ever increasing family. My William Nolan and Mary Walsh were married 11 Oct 1853 , Ballybunnion Parish sponsors Edward Walsh and Richard Kissane. I believe their son William (my GGrandfather)born in 1862 followed his older brother Maurice born in 1854 , out to Australia. In 1890, in Melbourne he married Bridget Kelly (from Co.Tipperary) and they came to NZ in 1893. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can go from here to search for GGGrandfather William Nolans parents and siblings and be able verify the info I hve been given? Also from the Co.Kerry records I am wondering why my GGUncle Edmund Walsh born Dec 1832 to Edmund and Mary Walsh has "Gale" after Tullabeg in the address. I have seen that there is a Tullamore is Galey as there is a TullaMore in the Civil Parish of Kilconly. But I believe the TullaMore and TullaBeg where my Walsh's were born was in the Civil Parish of Kilconly. Back in an 2009 email PeteScherm explained about the geographical locations of these and more townlands which has been a great help. I am guessing that 'Gale' means the Civil Parish of Galey but how can Tullabeg be in that parish when it's in the Kilconly parish?. Would sks be able to clarify this mystery for me please. Also I have the birth cert for my GUncle Thomas Nolan born 29th March 1864, Drombeg, parents William Nolan and Mary Walsh. In the cert the spelling of Drombeg is Drumbeg, and Mary's name 'Walsh' has been spelt 'Welsh', so perhaps the writer spelt phonetically. Or is there another explanation for the spelling variations? Many thanks Christine in NZ
