I find that for all I know about Ireland's history and culture, I know lttle about available resoureces for genealogy even though I have been doing it for over 60 years off and on. I don't even know the townland for Waterville or what parish would be there nor what churches are in Waterville. My great-grandfather was Michael Shea and I thought his father was also Michael but I received an email a while back saying his father was Cornelius. His wife was Bridgit Dunn from Kildare City and they married in 1861 and moved to Norwich, CT where his mother and sister was already living, yhey were weavers by trade. Where he and his wife met I have no idea. I presume he didn't leave with his mother because of his father but I don't know that for sure either but I find no record to indicate his father went with his mother. I find no record of male siblings only a sisters Mary and Nora who was still in school. So all in all due to the large number of Sheas in Kerry I have little! information on the Sheas where my other research into my mother's side of the family which is English and Dutch/Belgian from Flanders has a ton of info available including several genealogy books written about various branches.
