    2. Continued post... Listers: In a recent W.P.G.S. [Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society] newsletter, Volume 39, Number 5 there is an article about a historic Irish document called "Morpeth Roll". The article states it is available on Ancestry.com. When I searched the card catalog on Ancestry, this document is NOT listed. Does anyone know anything further about this document? It is reportedly 420 meters long, and has been digitized, and is considered a "pre-Famine census substitute, a genealogy resource, a family heirloom or a politically significant document". Am very curious to learn what this contains. Anyone? TIA. Marybeth C. acmbjc@aol.com

    3. I Googled "Morpeth Roll" and clicked on the ancestry option. http://search.ancestry.com/search/DB.aspx?dbid=2514 ... is the search page that came up The Title is: "Ireland, Lord Viscount Morpeth's Testimonial Roll, 1841" Look in "Browse this collection"... box on the right where it allows you to browse the actual image. Click on "Testimonial Roll" in that box to see 778 images, or go back and search for the specific name(s) you're interested in.
