    3. Hello Brendan, I do not know Colm Leane I do not think he one of the Killarney town Leanes, There were 3 Leane familys in Ardeanig in the 1800s the last maqn there died 1926 no issue the other 2 families went to America and the name was lost I was in contact with one who went in 1847 some died young name lost. I would be one of the Ballycasheen Leanes that would be the next junction from Matt the place is now built on. Matts house was actually in the townland of ballycasheen. There are a number in the parish of Beaufort this would go as Killarney. There is a Michael Leane at the foot of Carrantuahal mountain I know him well. I would be delighted to meet Colm if he is in Killarney some time Re Matt Shallow He lived further up the road where I live [Woodlawn Road] I used to see his van parked there. I do not know him even to see To day was like a Summer day in Killarney after a bad day yesterday and we have more heavy rain now [9pm] Enjoy what is left of Christmas and have a good new Year michael -----Original Message----- From: irl-kerry-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-kerry-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of irl-kerry-request@rootsweb.com Sent: 25 December 2013 07:21 To: irl-kerry@rootsweb.com Subject: IRL-KERRY Digest, Vol 8, Issue 213 Today's Topics: 1. I remember you well. I have shared your photos with all my family. Thanks, so much. I loved your story about about Killarney Looking Good and the late Paddy Kelly, his wife, and his son. Amazing that she is 90 years old. Do you know where his son was going to in America and what his mother's name was? I read about your bad weather there in your posting. Sounds like here in Massachusetts, but that is normal for us. We did get a 60 degree day yesterday, but it was all rain, too. Today a little cooler. I sent some pictures of memorials in Muckross Abbey. There was a plaque to Paddy Kelly and I taught that his wife should on the same one In other words I assumed she was dead. In Killarney every they run a competition Killarney Looking Good this encourages people to keep the town tidy and set flowers ect this part of a national competition and Killarney does well. About six week ago there was a prize giving in Muckross House and I was introduced to a man who was a son of Paddy Kelly and he told me he was going to America the next week as his Mother was celebrating her 90th birthday so that puts the record straight. Have a Happy Christmas and a Good new year All are well here TG Weather very bad Michael _______________ --------------- Policies of the IRL-Kerry List: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/mailing.html To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-KERRY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message.
