Hi Mary and all, Just thought you might be interested on a programme on TV a short while ago, its available on the RTE player for those interested. Part of the programme talks about three older men living alone in rural parts of Ireland. One of the men was Mossy Foley from Kerry. I believe this programme is viewable worldwide so I hope you can see it. Not sure if this link will work but from here it is http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/show/10235355/ Otherwise go to RTE.ie and look for the programme "Prime Time" originally broadcast on 19th December, you will see Mossy (if I have spelt that correctly) about 13 minutes into it. Bernie. In Donegal where we escaped the worst of the storms and our electric stayed on although the internet comes and goes. -----Original Message----- From: irl-kerry-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:irl-kerry-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Mary Sent: 28 December 2013 00:00 To: Patrick Kissane; irl-kerry@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [IRL-KERRY] Xmas Thanks for that Patrick, I have heard of this also and I am glad to hear all this interesting history coming through our friendly list. Never too old to learn something new. Patrick, Have the monsoons arrived up your way? We are waitiing for them down here on the coast where our sugar cane crops need a good drink and the ants are invading the house and crawling up the walls...so they must know that the rain cannot be too far away. But now, just for all the weather observers like me, when we email, lets all add the area we live, and what the weather is like at your place today. I hear the weather in Britian is frightfull at the moment so some of them have had a miserable Xmas/Christmas with flooding etc. What about you? Kind regards Mary
