Hi. Lots of Dowling families around Kerry. In 1800 registrars taking records would have often spelt names phonetically so Dooling Dowling could have been same. http://www.dowlingfamily.info/meaning.htm seems to indicate that names have same origin. Have often seen radio personaility Donncha O'Dulaing surname spelt Dooling http://www.rte.ie/radio1/failteisteach/ Regards, Fintan ----- Original Message ---- From: Patricia McMahon <mpatsymac@hotmail.com> To: IRL-KERRY@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, 5 September, 2007 10:51:13 PM Subject: [IRL-KERRY] DOOLING DOOLAN hi i am looking for anything on a blake dooling born 1827 in castlesiland kerry he married ellen divaine in engalnd his father was patrick dooling and mother mary fitzgerald he was a summon server and ellens father was a clerk to the chaple i dont think there parents came to london i dont know anymor about them in kerry but blakes name change here he became dowling and then we became doolans if anyone could help i dont know how far recorlds go back thank you patricia doolan _________________________________________________________________ The next generation of Hotmail is here! http://www.newhotmail.co.uk ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to IRL-KERRY-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________ Nervous about who has your email address?
