Thanks to this site I have been able to make contact with descendants of my Gr.mother Mary O'Connor's family , Lofgren & Shine families from Worcester ,in America, with Cheryl L. playing a big part. Thanks to all. My query is -- what is involved in obtaining a Birth certificate form a church in Killarney.? I sent to the Reristration Offfice ,St Margaret's Road ,Killarney, but they couldn't find Ellen b.1873 or Hannah b.1878, and asked me to obtain a baptismal certificate and then re-apply to them. The only information I have is from LDS records that the children were baptised in Killarney and were Roman Catholic. Would there have been many churches in Killarney back in the 1850's?
