I keep thinking that my great grandfather, James Turner, born in Co Kerry with father also James and "soldier" could have been one of these British soldiers stationed in Ireland as Turner is not a particularly Irish name. James (the father) would have been born around 1830. My James Turner born around 1846-1848 in Co Kerry. Came to Aust sometime before 1878. Can anyone help me??
