Anne, I am related to the Courtney's of Worcester,MA who emigrated from Killarney. I have a citizenship paper on a Daniel T. Courtney born 1853 and the witness on the US naturalization is a Dennis Shine!!! Any relation? I believe this Daniel Courtney is a cousin of my gr-gr-grandfather's also Daniel of Worcester,MA. I grew up in that area and lived there for years, there are many Kerry folk from Central MA. I am also trying to track down marriage and birth certificates in Killarney. I'm not sure if our family lore is correct but we were told that the church my great grandmother was baptized from burned and the records were lost. I found her parents marriage and 3 older siblings on LDS but haven't tracked the 2 younger girls. I thought this might be because the church they were baptized in did indeed burn. I have been trying to search for church fires in Catholic churches in Killarney circa 1870-1880 to no avail. Good luck in your search.
