Yes, indeed. The history behind this process is most interesting. Much of this is just so hard for me to imagine, being a woman, and it really was not all that long ago in the grand scheme of things. I had not been aware of the loss of citizenship due to foreign marriage, even if they remained in this country. Wow. But I must admit I was surprised when the guy at the Nat. Archives told me that women could apply for their own naturalization. "But very few did." That was another wow for me.................
