Dear one and all, many apologies, in my annoyance I called the Family Records Centre in London the Family History Centre - so sorry!! And I do know that many records are available on-line, but this place was wonderful, you saw the faces of people light up when long-lost family members were found, some times with whoops of joy. People helped and encouraged each other, and shared their knowledge and experience. I so used to look forward to going, it made the long trip up to the Great Wen bearable....
