Dear Listers, Apparently, one of my Kerry ancesters was awarded a medal by Queen Victoria for saving one of her relatives/friends from a watery grave. Unfortunately, my grandaunt donated it to our church when they were having a drive to raise money. Does anyone know if there is some way I can find out about the awarding of medals by the Crown?
