Hi all, Seeing this is O'Connor week I will give my family search another try. Thomas O'Connor married Elizabeth Teahan 1842 in Kiltallagh .witnesses were Maurice Teahan and Charles O'Connor. One of these people was from around Ballyfinnane , but which one? Known children are Mary baptised 30 3 1846 in Killeentierna Maurice born app 1854 unknown Catherine [Kate] baptised Kiltallagh 26 3 1859 sponsors Daniel O'Connor and Mary Teahan I am sure there could have been more children but so far that is all I have found. Father Luke Roche of Castlemaine thinks Thomas's parents were Timothy O'Connor and Joanna Clifford or Keavave[it was hard to read. Their children were Bridget born Dec 1816. Thomas born April 1822 Mary born June 1826 My main problem is to find why they married in one parish and had children baptised at different Parish's, The Elizabeth Teahan that I have found from around Ballyfinnane would have been to young to have married in 1842 Maurice O'Connor and Kate O'Connor went out to New Zealand app 1878 1880. Maurice married Mary Frances Courtney [Cournane ] of Caherciveen Co Kerry Kate married James Richard Talbot born in think in Kerry.
