I have had my husband and my MIL's cousin DNA tested for their families. Unfortunately what you want from it you will not get. The DNA for what you want needs to be thru the male lines only. Women only pass on Mtdna, good for long term population tracking. There are many good web sites for genetics, I got a book called DNA and Genealogy by Colleen Fitzpatrick, Amazon.com has it.
